Pickup truck rolls over its owner

A driveway accident Friday afternoon proved fatal to a 43-year old man near West Union. Coroner Karl Addis said Jackey Lee Moore was checking a rattling noise beneath his pickup truck when the truck rolled down the driveway at 254 Hidden Springs Farm Drive, pinned him beneath it and the ground. There were no eyewitnesses to the accident on a sloped gravel driveway, but the 1996 Ford F-150 pickup was impounded and the Oconee Sheriff’s Department has made arrangements with a technician to inspect the vehicle to determine how it may have moved. Though no one eyewitnessed what happened, Moore’s wife and children were inside the home.
