Police make nine charges against Utica man

The police in Seneca, responding to a call, approached a man walking on Mountain View Drive near the 123 By-Pass.  The police say the man carried a laptop and a bag containing cell phones.  That stop of a pedestrian yesterday, according to Chief John Covington, has now resulted in the police filing burglary and other charges against the man—Joshua Corey Savage of Padgett Street, Utica.  In their investigation, Covington said, officers determined there were burglaries at Solar Shield at 902 By-Pass 123 and at the Children’s Therapy Center nearby.  The 24-year old Savage has also been charged with breaking into motor vehicles, and is described by the police as a suspect in an attempted break-in of an unmarked police vehicle.
