Positive bottom line for OMC

A report received by the board at Oconee Medical Center last night showed the hospital gained $177 thousand during March. The chief financial officer, Kevin Herbert, reported six straight months of positive margins, with a total of $4.18 million on the plus side since October 1. Chief Operating Officer Hunter Kome traces the results to increased efficiency, though he warned in a statement that federal Medicare cuts and state Medicaid cuts, the second half of the fiscal year may not be as positive.
