Purse snatched from Walhalla home

A husband and wife in Walhalla have been charged in a police investigation of the theft of a purse from a home Wednesday morning on S. Cedar Street. According to Chief Ronald Wilbanks, one of the couple is accused of entering the home with permission to use the telephone. But the homeowner’s wife noticed her purse missing, and that’s when the police started on the trail for the couple. Arrest reports show the people arrested as Crystal Dawn Meredith, 33, and Shane William Meredith, 26.
