“Put a little ticket price on it”

By late last week Seneca awaited word from the famed Motown group Temptations to learn if the singers will accept Seneca’s $30 thousand dollar offer to perform during this year’s SenecaFest on Memorial Day weekend.  Riley Johnson, city events coordinator, said the contract is the first thing and then a decision on where to stage the featured concert—whether it’s downtown in the Norton-Thompson Park or a few blocks away on the former football field at Gignilliat Park.  The 1960s group sports a litany of hit sons—“Get Ready”, You’re My Everything”, and “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” among them.
