Recent arrests by Oconee Sheriff’s Office

Oconee Sheriff’s Office credits undercover operations, along with the help of the Seneca Police Department, in two arrests—both of which were made the night of Thursday, September 5. A 32-year old man from the Pickens County town of Central, Travis Alonzo Donald, was arrested on four charges. The Sheriff’s Office announcement shows Donald charged with possession of a stolen tag, no insurance, driving under suspension, and drug possession. According to Jimmy Watt, Sheriff’s spokesman, officers were suspicious of a black Nissan that pulled into a motel on Radio Station Road. “The vehicle then pulled onto Bi-Lo Place Drive and officers ran the tag on the vehicle, which came back stolen. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Advance Auto, in which the driver told officers that he had lost his wallet and that his name was Chris Donald,” Watt said. Late that night, a 28-year old Greensboro, North Carolina woman—Lynn Renee Gibson—was arrested on charges of solicitation of prostitution.
