Replacement windows installed

Walhalla’s 200 S. Catherine Streets sports new windows, to the great relief of the friends and supporters of Old St. John’s Meeting House. The project to apply the sharply-pointed windows was the work of 1st Class Painting of Sandy Springs. That company was engaged to remove, rebuild the frame, and install new amber glass and hardware. According to Maxie Duke of the Old St. John’s committee, vandals had broken every pane of window with rocks or bullets at the previous location of the former church. Future plans for the re-opening of the building include the pews and the re-wiring and re-finishing of the interior.
