Same voting equipment will be used

As much as some people would like to see South Carolina buy new voting machinery, it won’t happen in time for this year’s elections.  Oconee County’s top voting official, Joy Scharich, says she and her colleagues from across the state were told during a conference last week there simply isn’t the money available.  But Scharich says the automatic voting equipment from Oconee, while it is aging, is still good and she expects it to perform well during the primary and general elections.
