Seneca and Clemson crime suspects held out of state

Two persons, identified by the Seneca police as crime suspects, are being held by authorities in a small Pennsylvania town near the New York border.  An announcement from Seneca Chief of Police John Covington states that John Michael Watkins Jr. of Westminster and a 16-year old passenger were arrested in Hawley, Pennsylvania and are to be extradited to face charges in both Seneca and Clemson.  The 16-year old was described as a runaway from Anderson.  According to Covington, Seneca officers have implicated the two in the investigations of crimes discovered Thursday morning at Riley Motors on E-N 1st Street and at the Spinx station on By-Pass 123.  A 2004 Burgundy Cadillac was stolen at Riley Motors and a second vehicle was later broken into at the Spinx station.  A check on the identification of another vehicle, according to the police, showed that it had been reported stolen in Clemson the night before.
