Seneca football coach Wayne Green resigns

Seneca Bobcat head football coach Wayne Green has resigned. According to a press release issued Tuesday, Green has resigned his duties effective immediately. In four seasons at Seneca, Green led the Bobcats to the Class AAA playoffs each season, compiling a 27-19 record. In a statement included in the release, Green stated “It is time that I put my family first.  We have four adorable grandchildren (ages 2-11), two older sons, and two daughter-in-laws that we are not a significant part of their lives because of distance.  I have preached my entire career that my priorities are faith, family and football in that order.  It is past time for me to practice what I preach.” Seneca High School has already begun the process of identifying potential candidates to be the next Head Football Coach. There is no definitive time table on when a new coach will be named.
