Sheriff predicts future drug scourge

Oconee Sheriff Mike Crenshaw has returned from a national drug symposium with an ominous warning.  There’s a new scourge that takes the life of the user who overdoses.  “The DEA is very concerned about Fentanyl,” Crenshaw said. It’s a cancer-relief drug, but there have been deaths across the country and in Oconee County by people ingesting them, he said.   Crenshaw represented South Carolina at the Drug Enforcement Administration and spoke last night to the law enforcement committee of the Oconee County Council.
