Sheriff’s Office still works to solve Mulkey death

Five days before Christmas last year, a 33-year old man was found dead near Westminster—the victim of a gunshot to the chest.  The investigation of Jesse Eugene Mulkey’s death remains a case that the Oconee Sheriff’s Office tries to solve.  But you can help, provided you have any information about what happened the night of December 20 at 330 Brock Road.  Officers called shortly before 10 o’clock found Mulkey.  Deputies notified the Criminal Investigations Division and an investigation began as deputies sealed off the area and began to gather evidence. Since the initial reports of the shooting, the Sheriff’s Office has been following additional leads and evidence in the case as well as awaiting tests results of evidence already gathered. If you have any information on this December 20th homicide at 330 Brock Road, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or 864-638-STOP.  You don’t have to give your name when you contact Crime Stoppers and all information given is confidential.  If your tip helps to lead to a resolution in the case, you could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
