SHS recognizes National Merit students

Seneca High School A Seneca High senior, Emily Barber, is a semi-finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Officials of National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced the names of Emily and 16 thousand other semifinalists. Those academically-talented students have the chance to continue in the competition for 8 thousand scholarships worth about $35 million to be offered next spring. According to Seneca Principal Cliff Roberts, two other seniors—-Adam Beitz and Tristan Krabbe—-have been named Commended Students for the 2014 program. Adam and Tristan receive a letter of commendation from their principal.
