Singing the praises of “Project Mackinaw”

As one year draws to a close, Oconee’s economic development recruiter sings the praises of what’s believed to be a Michigan automotive supplier that will establish a manufacturing operation in a new Oconee industrial park in the New Year.  Richard Blackwell spoke to 101.7/WGOG NEWS today about “Project Mackinaw.”  It remains on the list of “hot” projects that Richard Blackwell, the county’s economic development recruiter foresees coming together by the end of next month.  And, if and when it does, this supplier to BMW will make a home inside Oconee’s Information and Technology Park.  One concrete pad site there is being reserved for the automotive supplier.  A second pad in that park is being set aside for a company referred to as “Project Thermal.”
