Special County Council meeting

Going into a special Oconee County Council meeting this afternoon one question is whether a second time will prove the charm. Charming was no way to describe council’s deliberations earlier this week on what to do about a back tax claim against the owners of a plane kept at the Oconee Airport. An attempt to head off the case at the pre-trial level apparently turned disagreeable, as two members exited their executive session early. When all of the council members returned to open session, they voted 3 to 2 to have their attorney remove Oconee versus Hangar III and others from the Common Pleas docket. Today’s special meeting starts at 1 at Pine Street.
