Special West Union meeting

A meeting tonight at West Union Town Hall is aimed at determining the small town’s true geographical borders. According to Mayor Linda Oliver, when her town was founded in the mid-19th century, the boundaries were drawn in a circle. But Oliver is confident that, as the result of the annexation of properties over the years, West Union’s true boundary has changed. In their special 6 o’clock meeting, the mayor and council will meet with Lisa Simmering of the Oconee County mapping office.
