Staggering start time for Oconee public schools

If the Oconee trustees agree, students next year will be able to sleep a few minutes later before starting for school in the morning.  During Monday’s meeting Dr. Michael Thorsland, superintendent, will talk about staggered times to start classes.  Currently, all Oconee schools start classes close to 8 o’clock.  Thorsland said, “We are talking about delaying middle school start time to 8:30 and high school until 8:45 next fall.  It should help with buses.  There are pros and cons, though.”
