Steven Moore eyes political comeback

A former Oconee official says he is “95%” sure he will run this year for a seat on the county School Board of Trustees.  Steven Moore is a former member of both the trustee board and the county council and would run for the District Two seat now held by Rosemary Bailes.  Oconee school board elections are non-partisan and are held as part of the General Election in November.  Moore was in the audience last night at Salem, where he described residents there as angry about the county board’s decision in October last year to close their Tamassee-Salem Middle and High School at the end of this current school year.
