Stolen car found in OC and arrest made

Hooks Oconee sheriff’s officers arrested a 23-year old man near Westminster and seized the car he was found in as part of an investigation during Saturday’s early morning hours. The investigation started shortly before 5 a-m when an officer found a running white Mercedes Benz parked in a travel lane of 123 near Robert Drive and a person asleep inside. According to the Sheriff’s Office, a check of the car vehicle identification number showed the car stolen in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Timothy Ryan Hooks of Buford, Georgia was arrested and charged with possession of stolen vehicle and possession of implements capable of being used in a crime.
