Stolen dirt bike returned to its owner

The owner of a stolen dirt bike has been reunited with his property as part of an Oconee Sheriff’s Office investigation that sent an Anderson man to jail charged with three offenses. The Sheriff’s Office identified Justin Brent Kirby as the operator of a dirt bike spotted shortly before 1:45 Tuesday morning on Louie Lane near the J-P Stevens Road. Officers say they removed two weapons—a knife and a machete from Kirby’s possession and placed the following charges against the 22-year old man: possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, and simple possession of marijuana. The stolen dirt bike, a Honda motorcycle, carried a value of $1,250.
