Suspect surrenders

The suspect in a police standoff at Seneca has surrendered.  Shortly after 1 pm, Chief John Covington said the suspect, whom he did not identify by name, turned himself in without further incident.  According to the police, a shot was fired early today at the Fair Oaks Village apartments on Lindsay Road, but no one was hurt.  The police say they went to that location to investigate a domestic call.  But a standoff ensued and the local police turned to the state police to bring their “SWAT” team to the scene.
