Tech governing board elects officers

The governing board for Tri-County Technical College has in place a new slate of officers for the year 2014. At the head of the table is Anderson resident Leon “Butch” Harris III who was elected chairman. Harris, an Anderson County representative on the Tech commission, is project manager for new business growth at Koyo Bearings, USA (formerly Torrington and later Timken.) Oconee County resident John Powell was elected vice-chairman. He was appointed to the board in 2010. D. Pruitt Martin of Anderson, a member of the board since 2004, was re-elected secretary-treasurer.
