Teenager’s eyes set on law enforcement career

A 15-year old boy at Walhalla High is showing his support for law enforcement officers by making paracord bracelets that his grandmother showed him how to make.  Tyler Orr, a rising junior, wants to be a law enforcement officer.  His passion for the field led him to classes in the criminal justice program at the Hamilton Career Center and plans to enroll in a cadet academy at the state Criminal Justice Academy.  Tyler’s support for law enforcement, first responders, and public safety workers is reflected by the bracelets—black in color with a thin blue line of material in the middle. A few days ago, he brought some of the bracelets to officers with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, including one made for Sheriff Mike Crenshaw.  The bracelets are free to all fire fighters, dispatchers, detention center and law enforcement officers and are $5 each for everyone else.
