Three Arrested in CU Equipment Theft

Clemson University police have arrested three men in connection with the theft of a piece of equipment from a campus building. Police arrested 57 year old Ronnie Dale Young of Central, 48 year old Elmer Eugene Garner of Clemson, and 25 year old Tyson Urian Reese of Clemson. The three men each face charges of grand larceny, value $10,000 or more. According to Clemson authorities, the charges stem from the theft of a large piece of printing equipment from a loading dock at Godfrey Hall on July 11. The machine was sold for scrap. Young was released on a $10,000 surety bond. Reese and Garner were each released on $10,000 personal recognizance bond. The men were not students or employees of ClemsonUniversity.
