Three charged in Detention Center fight

 

The state police have charged three Oconee County inmates in an altercation two weeks ago that Sheriff Mike Crenshaw said started when one inmate threw a food tray.  Travis Javon Lee and Jacob Daniel Drotning of Seneca were charged with assault and battery second degree.  The charge is a misdemeanor that carries a penalty on conviction of three years in prison, a fine of up to $2,500, or both.  Kenneth Strother Collins Jr. of Walhalla was charged with assault and battery third degree.  The charge is a misdemeanor that carries a penalty on conviction of up to 30 days in prison, a fine of up to $500, or both.
