Three men charged in campus theft

Clemson University police arrested three Liberty men in the theft of a safe from a campus dining hall. According to a university announcement, charged with grand larceny more than $2 thousand and criminal conspiracy to commit grand larceny are 20-year old Jacob Matthew Fulmer, 23-year old Robert Matthew Fulmer, and 31-year old James Richard Smith. The three worked for Clemson Cleaning Services and were not university students or employees. Police say a safe containing cash and other items was taken late Saturday night or early Sunday morning from an office in Harcombe Dining Hall. Someone also attempted to take a safe from another office, but it was bolted to the floor.
