Traffic death near Seneca

A 56-year old motorcyclist died last night after an Oconee County accident.  So far, authorities have identified the deceased as a Seneca man, whose name the coroner plans to release this morning.  The man died at 7:42 in the emergency department at Greenville Memorial Hospital, about one hour after an accident on West Cherry Road at High Point Boulevard.  According to the highway patrol, the accident occurred as an SUV driver, Morgan Welch of Mount Pleasant, proceeded from a stopped position from a private drive to make a turn onto W. Cherry Road.  At the time, the motorcyclist was headed west on W. Cherry.
