Tribute in Seneca to the late Glenn Frey

The guests for the Joint Regional Sewer Authority’s annual members’ meeting last night enjoyed a catered dinner served by Manna from Heaven.  And, as they dined, they were entertained by the sounds of the pop group the Eagles.  Bob Faires and the folks at the remodeled Seneca Water Treatment Plant paid tribute to the late Eagles’ front man Glenn Frey with a recording of some of the group’s hit records.  Besides a modernization of the treatment plant to ensure good quality water, the millions of dollars spent there by the city also provided a spiffy meeting hall and what utilities director Faires envisions as a conference center.  The Seneca water plant occupies choice real estate at the tip of the Normandy Shores peninsula and offers picturesque views.  Walhalla leaders are likely to have been impressed, considering that they are pursuing a new plant of their own further north on Lake Keowee.
