Two Arrested in South Carolina-Georgia Manhunt

A manhunt at the South Carolina-Georgia border has landed two people in jail. WSGC Radio’s David Stephens reports a man, described only as a shirtless white male with tattoos, was taken into custody at approximately 8:30pm Sunday evening by authorities in Elbert County, Georgia. Another suspect, a female, was also arrested as a result of the events of Sunday. According to Elbert County Sheriff Melvin Andrews, the suspect had allegedly set fire to two vehicles. Sheriff Andrews said the suspects have been transported to the Elbert County Detention Center. Sheriff Andrews did not comment on what charges the couple face.
