Two charged after police chase

Sixty-six miles an hour inside a 35-mile an hour limit zone caught the attention of the Westminster police.  At the time late Saturday night, Corp. Isaac Moore was conducting stationary radar on the Dr. John’s Road inside the city limits.  A chase that ensued ended 10 minutes later with a crash on Blackjack Road at the Greenfield Road.  Chief Dean Awalt said no one was hurt, but two people in the suspect car were charged.  Awalt identified the following charges against driver Jackie Lee Webb Jr. of Westminster:  speeding, driving left of center, failure to stop for blue lights, driving under suspension third, habitual offender,  improper vehicle license, possession of a firearm/ammunition by a convicted felon, simple possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  According to Awalt, passenger Justin Ray Carter of Walhalla was charged with possession of a firearm/ammunition by a convicted felon, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, and possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance.
