Two RFQs received for Walhalla Streetscape

Two companies showed interest today in the job of designing and building the Walhalla Streetscape project. Both companies hail from the Upstate. They are Seamon-Whitesides of Greenville and Langley Land Planning and Association of Easley. At City Hall, city officials said the companies responded to requests for qualifications. The submissions apparently do not include how they would charge. According to Scott Parris, Walhalla utilities director, that would have to be negotiated with city council. So far, Wahalla has $500 thousand to put toward the project. It’s estimated Streetscape will cost in excess of $1 million.
