U-S senator makes Seneca campaign stop

A handful of candidates stand in the way of Tim Scott’s bid to be re-elected to the U-S Senate, but the Charleston Republican says he is cautiously optimistic that the voters next month will return him to a new term in Washington.  Yesterday Scott greeted those who gathered at the Seneca Family Restaurant–an event promoted by the Oconee Republican Party.  When asked about the nasty contest for President, Scott told 101.7/WGOG NEWS he’s taking the high road when it comes to the rhetoric.  “Hopefully, what we are going to do is focus on those things that bring people together–the issues that make Americans better as opposed to fighting back and forth….,” Scott said.
