Sumi Marie Jenkins Charges of unlawful neglect of a child and criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature have been placed against a 31-year old Fair Play woman. The Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest yesterday of Sunni Marie Jenkins of N. Davis Drive as the result of an incident alleged to have occurred April 7. Jimmy Watt, Sheriff’s spokesman, says arrest affidavits allege Jenkins chased her husband through the home with a butcher knife, held it to his throat, and threatened to kill him, and then tried to stab him. She is also accused of choking her 13-year old daughter. The defendant has been released pending a court appearance after a $50 thousand surety bond was posted on her behalf.
