Vote for book characters at OCPL

By Chad Dorsett

Confused about who to vote for this Presidential Election year? Not yet old enough to vote? Take the stress off by participating in the Oconee County Public Library’s (OCPL) Vote For Book Characters campaign, explains Branch Services Librarian Blair Hinson. “No political scandals, noisy pundits, or robo-calls to worry about with this one. Just fill out a ballot for your favorite book character and find out who the winner is on election day. Ballots and a voting box will be available at all of our branches from Oct. 24 to Nov. 7. Filling out a ballot also earns you a sucker or sticker. Adults are invited to participate with their children. It’s an excellent opportunity to teach our young ones about the importance of voting.” Voting for your favorite book character is free to participate in at your local branch of the OCPL.
