Walhalla and Westminster qualifying

In the last of two weeks of qualifying, Walhalla and Westminster are attracting candidates for their cities’ elections in November. Walhalla has one candidate. He’s a former teacher and coach, Danny Woodward. He’ll compete for the seat vacated by James Powell’s resignation. So far, no one has filed for any of the three council seats for which full four-year terms are available. Westminster so far has four candidates for three council seats: incumbents Reid Adams and Rusty Cater and challengers Doug Williams and Bill Brockington. Qualifying ends at noon Friday.
