Walhalla fills council vacancy

Walhalla now has a five-member city council. Danny Woodward, an unopposed candidate to fill a council vacancy in the November election, accepted the oath of office last night. That oath was administered by Mayor Danny Edwards, at the start of the October meeting of the city council committees. Woodward fills the unexpired term created by the resignation of James Powell. He took a seat at the table—across from his daughter, Jennifer Crawford. Councilwoman Crawford seeks re-election to a second, four-year term in the November 5 election.
