Walhalla grant administrator wants to hear from the public

A second round of utility upgrades in a former Walhalla mill area is nearly finished, and the public will have a chance to let government know about how well the work went.  Walhalla has set aside 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, February 22 at City Hall to receive feedback directly from the public.  The hearing will be conducted by Dirk Reis, project grant administrator from the South Carolina Appalachian Council of Governments in Greenville.  Scott Parris, city utilities director, says as the result of what has been done in the Chicopee community, two-thirds of the residents are benefiting from new water lines and about one-third have new sewer lines.
