Walhallans surprised, but pleased!

Walhalla leaders reacted with surprise, but gratitude today that the county’s state lawmakers successfully pulled off funding projects for a pair of community projects—-overcoming an earlier veto by Governor Nikki Haley.  State Senator Thomas Alexander this afternoon said the Senate overrode Haley’s veto of $100 thousand to pay for an ADA-approved automatic lift for the Walhalla Municipal Swim Pool and $200 thousand dollars to replace the roofs over the Walhalla Civic Auditorium and three other buildings on the property.  On 96.3/WGOG NEWS we have an explanation from Alexander, along with a very pleased Bill Chuisano, the auditorium executive director.
