Warriors win double-overtime thriller over Pendleton

For the first time since 2006, the West-Oak Warriors have defeated the Pendleton Bulldogs. The Warriors collected a thrilling, 42-41 victory in double-overtime at Warrior Field on Friday, a win that gave the school its first 2-0 start to a season since 2005. Coach Josh Pierce’s Warrior team trailed by 28-7 at one point in the second half before mounting the comeback. West-Oak has the opportunity to start 3-0 when they travel to Berea next week.

Elsewhere Friday, Walhalla notches its first win of the season with a 17-14 win over Landrum at Razorback Stadium. Seneca rolls to 2-0 with a win over Easley with a 21-6 win.

In WGOG’s High School Game of the Week, Wren got past TL Hanna 54-40.
