Westminster man’s ordeal

A college student in Tennessee from South Carolina has returned to Westminster for the start of his recuperation from spinal cord injuries. Austin Holland was hurt April 15 when he fell from a steep roof and broke several bones, including vertebrae. Holland already has completed one stay at a rehabilitation facility in Atlanta, but he will return for what’s described as extensive therapy. Physical and mental therapy awaits him, but the Westminster community will try to ease the financial burden. A benefit has been announced for May 31. Beginning 9 o’clock that Saturday morning, those who pay $2 dollars admittance fee to t-ball games sponsored by Westminster Recreation that day will see their money go toward helping Austin. There will also be a hot dog sale for $5 dollars a plate.
