Women beaten in Seneca and Walhalla

The police say separate incidents in recent days have resulted in assault-type injuries of two women in both Seneca and Walhalla. The Seneca police arrested and charged 26-year old James Tyler Cannon with criminal domestic violence high and aggravated nature, in their investigation of an incident yesterday at Cannon’s home on Mill Road. The police say a woman was bitten and choked. They say her attacker pulled her hair and held her down. At Walhalla, the police report that in an area of Josh Circle behind the Oconee School District offices, another woman was beaten. According to Chief Ronald Wilbanks, 25-year old Peter Carl Christenson III of Josh Circle was arrested and charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. Wilbanks says among the woman’s injuries are a punctured lung and a broken jaw, from which she is now recovering after surgery. That incident was alleged to have occurred March 13 between 2 and 4 a-m
